Horizon: The Valley of Life or Death

on BBC Two England

There's a strange mystery at the heart of the Aids epidemic in Africa. It seems there are crucial groups of people who are four times less likely to get HIV than others living in the same valley - people with apparently similar behaviour and lifestyles. After 15 years of detective work, scientists have potentially come up with an answer. Controversially, it seems that circumcision might control the Aids epidemic in Africa.
