Miriam. Four years after a 1984 Global Report told the story of her fourth pregnancy in Harlem, Miriam was dead. Addicted to crack, she had abandoned her children, left her partner and gone to live with a fellow addict - a violent man who eventually beat her to death. Six years on, Global Report returns to investigate Miriam's fatal decline into the underworld of drugs and prostitution, and to see how her children are surviving in a community torn apart by crack.
