For the Schools: How Your Body Works: 7: Skin

on BBC Television

View in Radio Times

Beauty is skin deep. But the skin is important for other reasons, too. It is the body's first line of defence, preventing minor injuries and infections from becoming major ones. It helps us to keep cool in hot places and warm in cold ones. These and other functions of that complex organ, the skin, are discussed by Professor W. S. Bullough in today's programme.
