Starting at Singapore, he travels by road and rail through Malaya to Northern Thailand

In this week's film Johnny finds a Sago factory deep in the Malayan jungle and a nearby Kampongone of those idyllic Malay villages whose houses are all on stilts and where the children still seem to lead the sort of 'jungle-boy' life of children's books. His last stop before catching a train for Bangkok is Penang, where he discovers a temple full of venomous snakes.
