Leaders of Men: 3: Mohammed

on BBC One London

Islam was not a new religion when it began. It was an attempt to purify the old one. So the Koran contains much of the Christian and Jewish Bible.
Tonight's film examines the origins and growth of Islam and shows something of its appeal to people from widely different backgrounds and intellectual levels.

After the film, Al Haji David Cowan, a Scot who is also a Muslim, discusses Islam with Paddy Feeny and a group of Bristol students.
