Choirworks: Singing the World

on BBC Radio 3

Paul Guinery presents a concert recorded at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London this month, featuring adult choirs from Latvia, Denmark, the Netherlands and Slovenia, and youth choirs from Newfoundland and the UK, all visiting for the final of the Let the Peoples Sing contest. Plus previous winners, Norwegian ladies choir Embla. The choirs and audience combine to sing I Am the Song, a specially commissioned setting by Bob Chilcott of a poem by Charles Causley, conducted by David Willcocks.
