A Prisoner in the Caucasus

Based on a short story by Tolstoy, set in the 1850s when imperialist Russia was dealing with insurgents in the Caucasus, this film is a celebration of endurance.
Against a wild and mountainous landscape two men, captive and captor, Imperialist officer and brigand chief, confront each other in a battle of wills.
