A series of thirteen BBC television films telling the story of air power during the years 1935-1946, and how it brought about the defeat of the Axis Powers in the greatest conflict history has known.

This film tells the story of the German air attacks on Britain from Summer 1940 to Spring 1941.

Commentary spoken by Robert Harris, Reginald Tate, Quentin Reynolds, Ferdy Mayne, Victor MaddernWritten and produced by John Elliot.
This series of films made by the BBC Film Unit and originally shown in 1954, is being repeated every Saturday evening.
