on BBC Television

View in Radio Times

A series of programmes arranged by J. Bronowski and Anthony Barnett showing some of the methods used by the scientist in his study of, men and animals.

Human beings, unlike some animals, cannot hear ultra-sonic sound, see ultra-violet rays, or react to polarised light. But, as this programme shows, civilised man has overcome his physical limitations and extended the range of his senses beyond those of any other living creature.
