There have been two previous series and The World have won both. Now comes a new series of 13 matches, filmed on the great courses of Britain and Ireland. Each week a top American will play a leading professional representing the Rest of the World.
Tonight Jack Nicklaus (US) v Bob Charles (New Zealand) at Wentworth
Nicklaus, reigning British Open champion, meets the world's greatest left-hander, a former Open champion, on Wentworth's "Burma Road" course where both have won the World Matchplay championship in the last two years.
Prizemoney: $4,000 to the winner $2,000 to the loser
