Some characters on a matrimonial marry-go-round reveal the effect of divorce on their lives. Elizabeth Jane Howard, novelist, Sandra Paul, model-girl, Romaine Wynne-Morgan, public relations executive, Peter Scott, naturalist and broadcaster, David Wynne-Morgan, public relations executive, Robin Douglas-Home writer and pianist.

At the end of the programme, Alan Whicker discusses the new Divorce Reform Bill with William Wilson M.P., Leo Abse M.P., Baroness Summerskill.
