The Weekenders

on BBC One London

Every May since 1945, literally thousands of young people have converged on central London for a weekend together. Singing, dancing, arguing, praying; all coming together in what is now the largest Christian rally for young people in Europe. It's the London Weekend of the Methodist Association of Youth Clubs.
This filmed impression of the 1983 event records two hectic days in London, the months of rehearsal for more than 1,000 performers and the climax of their work in front of a capacity audience in the Royal Albert Hall.
