With the price of red meat increasing throughout Europe, Britain's poultry industry has launched an aggressive export campaign to sell thousands of chicken and turkey breeding stock to countries where eating habits are changing. The booming broiler market has meant a rapid rise in British poultry exports and the equipment used to prepare frozen and oven-ready birds. But is it also sounding the death knell for free-range production?
