1989 Milk Race
Last Monday 102 top-class riders in 17 teams from 11 countries set off from
Westminster Bridge at the start of Britain's longest and most gruelling cycle race. Today is the rest day in Blackpool, and they have already completed over 600 miles with a further 500 to go before the finish in Birmingham next Saturday. This halfway report gives some idea of the outcome.
