Dominique Labourier Part 1
In the middle of the night of 8 June 1762 Rousseau, then aged 50, was suddenly awakened. His latest book, Emile, had been condemned by the Paris parliament. In this moving study of the effects of intolerance of Claude Goretta (director of The Lacemaker) follows this fragile and delicate philosopher's flight through Europe, persecuted by the Church and his fellow thinkers, stoned by the common people and deported by governments.
