The first stage of the Bolt-on Garden is complete - a low maintenance design to suit a young married couple.
Now, however, we can see the Bolt-on Garden in its true light. Keeping the basic design intact, 'units' can be changed, thereby adapting to the different requirements of the growing family, where children need to play safely. The designer, David Stevens , joins the team again to explain his ideas. In the vegetable plot there's plenty to do, while both perennials and biennials can be safely sown outside.
