A series to mark the centenary of the composer's birth introduced by John Drummond 4: Les Noces
Tonight's programme presents one of the greatest scores that Stravinsky composed for Diaghilev. It will be played twice, first as a concert piece and then to accompany a filmed performance of the ballet Which was choreographed in 1923 by BRONISLAVA NIJINSKA.
Leonard Bernstein, Nicholas Nabokov and Sir Frederick Ashton discuss the history of the music and the choreography.
