Thirty-Minute Theatre: Taffy Came to my House

on BBC Two England

by Alun Richards.
With Nerys Hughes as Mavis Walters, Clive Graham as Ronnie Thomas

'He' is a Welsh Rugby footballer and the idol of the crowds. 'She' is his girl-friend, beautiful and intelligent, but she won't allow herself 'to be worn on his famous elbow like a dress'. Alun Richards's comedy is set in a Welsh shrine - a Rugby Football club - but its traditional cosiness is rudely shattered by a girl who won't play ball.
