Human participation in flight, whether in fast high-flying aircraft or in space vehicles, creates many diverse problems. At the R.A.F. Institute of Aviation Medicine at Farnborough research teams of doctors, engineers, and physicists design experiments to investigate many of the problems that they anticipate will occur: today's programme shows research proceeding on three contrasting types of problems.
