on Third Programme

View in Radio Times

by F. Kingdon-Ward, O.B.E .
Most of our national collections of plants, as well as many private gardens, have been enriched by the botanical expeditions of the Kingdon-Wards. On a recent expedition to North Burma they collected 1,200 species of dried plants, 165 specimens of seeds, and some thirty or forty specimens of living plants, as well as discovering much fresh geographical information.
