Between 10 p.m. tonight and 4 a.m. tomorrow morning election results will be broadcast from all transmitters of the BBC. These results will be broadcast as soon as they are received, and at intervals summaries of the state of the parties will be given.
The announcements of results will be interspersed with a programme of light music played by The Victor Olof Sextet
Reginald King and his Orchestra
The Gershom Parkington Quintet
A summary of the results received after 4 a.m. will be given on Friday in the First News at 6 p.m.
Please Do Not Ring Up
Listeners are earnestly requested not to make telephone inquiries about election results. Such inquiries cannot in any case be answered.
