The Shadow of Breast Cancer
One in 12 British women will contract breast cancer at some time. Despite improved treatments, a greater proportion of women die of breast cancer here than anywhere else in the world, more than 15,000 every year - one every 30 minutes. Why is there uncertainty about the way breast cancer should be treated? Horizon talks to doctors, scientists and the women themselves, and asks how the shadow can be lifted.
