A Lady in Drag
Drag racing is a sport for people with a single ambition-to build a machine that will propel them down a quarter of a mile of disused air-strip, faster than anyone else. Speeds of 200 mph across the finish line are commonplace, acceleration of 0-100 mph in 1½ seconds is a necessity. Precision construction and the most advanced design technology has to come together to get the most out of drag racing's fastest performer -the Top Fuel car, an explosive handful even for the most experienced drivers.
With the help of one of Top Fuel's top drivers, a psychologist and a fighter pilot, Maggie Philbin learns how to race it.
