Stages: A Few Short Journeys of the Heart

on BBC Two England

Acclaimed writer Andrew Davies describes his new play as "a comedy about the universal search for love". Rust is a failing middle-aged writer given the chance to write the screenplay for a movie about Leonardo da Vinci. As he travels up to London to meet his agent, he dreams up a nightmare world of self-gratifying plots and a cast list of his loves and lusts, hates and alter egos.
