When Frank Burdon, an urbane reporter, arrives in a tiny Scottish town to work on the local paper, his twin pursuits of romance and justice cause nationwide ripples. The object of his wooing happens to be the beautiful daughter of the local autocrat who, in turn, is the object of his crusade.
