Play School: Useful Box Day

on BBC Two England

A programme for children at home.
Presenters this week, Marla Landi, Colin Jeavons
In the story chair, Enid Lorimer

How many different kinds of apples do you think there are - 10, 100, 1,000? In fact, there are more than 7,000 different sorts, and each day this week Marla Landi and Colin Jeavons have some in Play School.
The picture book on Tuesday is The Story of Babar, an elephant who became King of his jungle. There will be some real elephants through the arched window, and you can see how strong they are.
Enid Lorimer retells three of her stories: 'A Cow in the House', 'How the Cat Went to See the World', and 'Charlie the Crane'.
