Lifeline: Schizophrenia

on BBC Television

A Consultant Psychiatrist examines Schizophrenia: Disintegration of the Personality.
One in five of all hospital beds in the world is occupied by a patient suffering from schizophrenia. Schizophrenia was once the most crippling disease known to mankind. It strikes early - often between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five. Psychiatrists and doctors have now developed new methods of treatment and have reached a totally new understanding of this extraordinary state of mind.
