Women's golf (along with lady drivers and mothers-in-law) used to be the butt of all masculine ridicule. Even today, there is one club in England which forbids women to walk past its windows wearing trousers.
That club is not Sunningdale, where the Colgate International Women's Championship is staged next week.
On the eve of this event, this programme reflects the endless practice and years of dedication put in by the top women golfers in the world, including Ren6e Powell , the only black touring lady professional, as they strive to become best in a sport where not just talent but appearance counts as well.
