Lady Fleming talks to Michael Dean
'I was born a Greek and this is an incurable disease that nothing and no one can treat or change.' Lady Amalia Fleming, widow of Sir Alexander, was jailed in Athens in 1970 for her part in an alleged plot to help political prisoners escape. After 16 months of interrogation and threats, she was expelled from the country and deprived of her nationality. She now lives in exile in London.
