Every year, as part of its internationally renowned music festival, Tanglewood in New England sets aside a week in which young artists and living composers work and perform together. This film shows Ma coming to grips with a new work specially written for him by the Austrian composer H K Gruber against the background of Tanglewood's contemporary week.
