Saturday Cinema: Road to Bali

on BBC Two England

starring Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Dorothy Lamour

Bing and Bob are a couple of song-and-dance men down on their luck in Australia. Fleeing Sydney to avoid a shot-gun marriage, they find themselves on the isle of Bali-mixed up with a quest for sunken treasure owned by Dorothy Lamour.
The last of the original 'Road' series - and the first in colour - also has a fine array of songs by Johnny Burke and James Van Heusen.
