An inside view of Black Washington
Ieuan Davies arrived in Washington DC in the middle of the riots which followed the assassination of Martin Luther King. For ten years he's lived with the black community there and seen it take over the government of the capital of the US. Today the Welsh priest is, officially, a Commissioner for Civil Rights and adviser on drug abuse to the Mayor of Washington but, among his black neighbours, he remains a misfit as well as a missionary, a foreigner as well as a friend.
