[Starring] Judy Campbell and Robert Urquhart
The action of the play takes place in and around Padua. Time, 1600
(Robert Urquhart appears by permission of Associated British Picture Corporation, Ltd.)

Petruchio wooed the shrewish Katharina violently, and won from her a startling obedience, so that nothing was tall or short, hot or cold, until so stated by her lord. But that, says tonight's frolicsome play, was a year ago. Has the bridal honey yet soured on her tongue? Is her spleen perhaps "not killed but driven underground?" Baptista has summoned his daughters back to Padua, and we see them on their way; Bianca, perhaps not quite as timid as she was in The Taming of the Shrew, and Katharina - but let us see how she, the tamed, now handles her tamer....
