Concluding Mark Lamarr 's four-part history of US comedy. Stand Up is Dead, Long Live Stand Up. The early nineties saw many US comedians move from the stage to the small screen. But while performers like Jerry Seinfeld ,
Garry Shandling and Roseanne Barr followed Bill Cosby 's lead, a new generation of black stand-up comedians, such as Chris Rock and the Original Kings of Comedy, began to emerge. Contains strong language and potentially offensive material.
