Last in the series, repeated in updated form, about the Scottish High Court.
If anyone within the legal system understands crimes and those who commit them, it is the procurators fiscal. Ian McSporran and Neil Allan handle all the prosecutions in Edinburgh and, day in, day out, are to be found in the noisy and crowded sheriff courts, putting the prosecution's side of the story in one of the 14,000 cases they deal with every year.
A typical week for them can involve anything from dealing humanely with a schizophrenic found wandering in the streets to putting drug dealers and burglars behind bars. Tonight's film includes a new interview with Scott Johnson, a drug dealer who discusses his life of crime and violence.
