Open University: Bronze Casting

on BBC Two England

How was a Renaissance bronze made? This film follows the technical process of lost wax bronze casting, as technicians from the Royal College of Art recreate the making of a bronze statuette by Giambologna. The film was made in conjunction with the Victoria and Albert Museum's exhibition of Giambologna's works in October 1978.
