Television producer Kate has been lumbered with a low-budget programme on 'the image of age'. But Kate soon finds that the old have a lot to say. They watch more television than any other age group but are catered for less. They are often shown as grumpy or stupid; or even worse as victims of crime, poverty and ill health. Some dramas and soap operas do get it right however. So what's their secret? Kate knows she has a story if the editor will let her tell it.
