The Battle for Brent Spar

The inside story of Greenpeace's dramatic battle with Shell Oil and the British Government last summer over the fate of the Brent Spar oil platform. The giant multinational's decision to dump the platform on the sea bed led to widespread protests and brought forth condemnation from European leaders. Shell products were boycotted and some of theirgarages attacked. With previously unseen footage and the testimony of key participants on both sides, the programme charts the course of the showdown between campaigners and the oil industry.
