Crack Doctors
Major Mary Maniscalco -Theberge is a surgeon in the US Army. To gain experience of treating gunshot wounds she's been posted to a city with the highest murder rate in the USA - Washington DC. America's capital is a battleground for competing drug dealers. The cause of the escalating violence is the new drug crack. Mary has been assigned to a special trauma centre for the seriously injured. It was set up by an Englishman, Dr Howard Champion. Out on the streets federal agents raid crack houses. And a crack dealer shot five times gives an insider's view of Washington's violence.
