The television crafts magazine, presented by Sue Robinson
Forget your saggy old cardigan! This week's Handmade brings you fashion knitwear that stands out from the crowd.
Kay Boyd , who designs highly tailored clothes, discusses the sources of her inspiration and demonstrates the 'intarsia' technique of machine knitting which makes her bold geometric patterns possible.
The programme goes behind the scenes at the Notting Hill Carnival to see the work that goes into making those fabulous costumes, and joins the masqueraders on the big day. In the studio workshop the knitting and embroidery projects continue and toymaker Jeffrey Soane starts making an articulated wooden fish.
