Coverage of the quarter-finals of the Embassy World Professional Snooker
Championship from the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield. It's part of the unique nature of this tournament that so much has happened over the past 10 days, yet there is still a week's combat to go before the 1990 World Champion is crowned. Today is the last round when two tables will be used. Whoever has made it this far will be thinking more of the crown than the prize money. Steve Davis should be there on table one and Stephen Hendry on table two, but in Sheffield the mighty have been known to fall quite regularly.
