Presented by Margo MacDonald.
Homes Must Not Stand in the Way of Industrial Development The future of a coastal village on a spit of land 15 miles north of Newcastle upon
Tyne hangs in the balance.
John MacCormack , leader of Welbeck District Council, sees the chance to attract industry and welcome jobs in an area of high unemployment - but only if the houses go. The North Blyth Residents Action
Group are fighting the plan; they want the jobs, too, but see no reason why their community has to be sacrificed.
Both sides have had editorial control over their films, which were made with help from the Community Programme Unit.
