Adventure, a modern version of Mark Twain 's The
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Billy "Huck" Thomas runs away from his Missouri home and his mother's abusive boyfriend in search of his long-lost grandfather. In Los Angeles, Huck hooks up with Jim, a slick-talking native
American, and the pair soon find themselves pursued by a gun-toting gangster and Huck's frantic mother and aunt.
