-- No Maps on My Taps
Music by LIONEL HAMPTON Bunny Briggs Chuck Green
Sandman Sims
Tan is back in the States, as aimost-forgotten names from the 20s and 30s return to the boards. This film celebrates the come-back of three black American dancers, who learnt their skills on Harlem
Sreet corners and in vaudeville.
We see early film of them, along with such legendary tappers as BILL 'BOJANGLES' ROBINSON and BUCK AND BUBBLES. These are the true 'hoofers', whose jazz style of tap was largely ignored by Hollywood's musicals-but whose skill is being applauded once again. Introduced by JOHN DRUMMOND Director GEORGE T.
