on BBC Two England

Ray Stubbs is joined by darts showman Bobby George for live coverage from the first day of the World Professional Darts championship, taking place at the Lakeside Country Club, Frimley Green, Surrey.

This year, 32 oche maestros will be competing for prize money totalling £174,000, with a £50,000 bonus for a nine-dart checkout. Tony Green describes the action as Les Wallace and Ray Barneveld, winners in and 1998, start their campaigns.
