Radio 3's complete series of Britten's operas continues with Glyndebourne Touring
Opera's new production of Britten's penultimate opera, originally written for television. Myfanwy Piper's libretto is based on a short story by Henry James. Owen, a gentle pacifist, clashes with his militaristic family, leading to a tragic climax in a haunted room at the family seat.
