Drama Now: The Disintegration of James Cherry

on BBC Radio 3

A very black comedy by Jeff Wanshel
with radiophonic music and effects by David Cain
with Sean Barrett as James Cherry
Jeff Wanshel, still in his early 20s, is one of the most brilliant young American playwrights. Tonight's play was staged at the Lincoln Center, New York, in 1970. In it he displays a highly personal brand of grim surrealist humour.
