Dean Martin is in top devil-may-care form in this witty comedy. As lawyer Steve Flood , he loses so much money betting on horses that his wife Melanie decides it's time to do something drastic. Convinced she will soon recoup his losses and save her marriage, she secretly arranges to book all Steve's bets through a friend. But gambling is a tricky business and Melanie is alarmed when Steve's first bet is a 17-1 shot ... Meanwhile, Steve's real bookie is unhappy about losing one of his best customers and instructs his mob of wacky thugs to discover who's got the action.
