A film of Australia.
Written and directed by John Heyer and made by the Shell Film Unit
This film gives an impression of the notorious Birdsville Track winding its way over three hundred miles of vast desert in Central Australia, with its endless cycle of droughts, sandstorms, gales, and floods. Only five sheep stations now remain on the route, and the inhabitants of these depend on the outback mail man for their relief from solitude with letters, parcels, stores, and provisions.
