Nearly a quarter of a million men, women and children from Myanmar's Muslim minority have fled their homes for Bangladesh since October last year. Two-thirds of those have escaped in the last two weeks. The UN is describing it as 'ethnic cleansing' but Myanmar rejects the claims. A listener who has been listening to both the Burmese service and BBC World Service English claims the former is reflecting “racial prejudice” from within the country. BBC Burmese Editor, Tin Htar Swe joins Rajan to tackle this point and many others.

Flagship news programme, OS has just finished a week of special coverage hearing from Syrian refugees from around Europe and the Middle East. Presenter, Nuala McGovern and senior broadcast journalist, Zoe Murphy give an insight into the realities faced by the people they spoke to. Show less
